Preadoptive Consultation

Adopting a child is one of the most significant decisions that a family can make.  Prospective adoptive parents need to understand the potential risks and protective factors that a child brings to his or her new home related to his or her history of prenatal drug and/or alcohol exposure, as well as other factors.  Our team provides expert consultation to parents as they move through the process of domestic and international adoption.

Pre-adoptive services include:

· Pre-adoptive consultation in-person, over the phone, or through a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform

· Continuing support via phone or email

· Referrals to appropriate resources when possible, such as comprehensive developmental and psychological evaluations after adoption and/or therapy services
